A Tribute to Dallas Anderson: Sculptures of the Fox Valley in Wisconsin
-- Photos by Jeff Lindsay --
Dallas Anderson is a sculptor who has crafted a number of beautiful sculptures in Appleton and Neenah. Dallas has studied at the Royal Academie in Copenhagen and was a professor at Brigham Young University in Utah for a number of years. He also spent four years assisting in the art for the Crystal Cathedral in California. He is now a resident of Appleton. Here I present a few of my photos from three sculptures, Ring Dance, Playing in the Rain, and Reflections of Love.
1. Reflections of Love
Reflections of Love a beautiful sculpture that many in Appleton haven't noticed. It's tucked away in a rose garden at the Memorial Park Arboretum and Gardens in the north part of town, just to the north of the Scheig Learning Center there. It depicts a young ballerina holding a rose.

2. Playing in the Rain
Playing in the Rain is probably the most famous sculpture of Neenah, Wisconsin, prominently displayed in beautiful Riverside Park. It is a water fountain with sprays of water around bronze statues of children. Delightful.

3. Ring Dance
Ring Dance is certainly the most famous sculpture of Appleton, Wisconsin, part of a beautiful fountain in the center of City Park in the heart of Appleton. It is beautiful all year round and is a popular place for photography.
